Got Current?

The subject is getting crazier. Not that I don't understand the whole thing, I don't understand the theory of it. Like, why does does it flow like that? What makes it flow like that?

I guess we don't need to know why, we just need to know it's like that. Everything is definitely the dumb-ified version of what I've learned before. Which is even more confusing. My friend feels the same way. So we've come to the conclusion, don't ask why, just take it in, just take it all in. Because chances are, no one here knows why, because they learned the same things we are learning.

Dinner was....

The miso soup looks real dark...don't know why.

Mochi Mania!!

I wasn't happy with my first attempt. Wasn't happy at all. So I went to buy the flour and made some more today.

These were the ones I made on saturday. They were all lumpy. And had too much dusting flour. I think I also made a mistake by using rice flour, not glutinous rice flour.

These are today's first bacth. It was all runny. This time I used glutinous rice flour. I think I got the hang of handling the dough. No mishaps this time. But it was a bit too runny. So I made a second batch.

These are the second batch.

Here's the close up. I added a lil more flour. It's not as runny as the ones before, but still a lil bit too soft, could be a lil more firm. But I'm quite happy with the outcome. Will send some down to the boys for a taste.

Happy with myself. Now gotta go study :(

Kitchen Misadventures.

So I went down to seremban today. But I didn't go to the thread shop though, couldn't find the shop. Was reading the signs outside the shops but couldn't find it. Did not want to risk banging into the car in front of me while I was busy looking left and right. So I thought, oh what the heck, I'll find it another day.

Headed to Jusco then. Finallyy bought the miso soup paste!!! :) no funny funny labels on this one. In fact the ingredients and directions are in English. Then, I went a little crazy and bought these....

I actually only need one medium sized frying pan. But then buying one piece was more expensive than the 3 piece value set! So I bought the set. RM29.90 only. The measuring cups and spoons, well, keep reading.

This is what I had for lunch.

Rice, boiled chinese cabbage and cauliflower, hard boiled egg and wakame in miso soup.

So here's the misadventure.
That's red bean paste. What for? I made mochi today. Well, at least, I tried to make mochi. Tried very hard. The dough was very very sticky. Flour was all over the table. I tried twice, and actually made a second batch of dough. You know, all the recipes tells you the ingredients and stuff, but they don't freaking tell you how to handle the dough!!!!! I mean they tell you to dust your hands and utensils with flour, but they never really warn you!!

So after playing with flour, here's the result......
I KNOW IT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD! SO SUE ME!!!
But it tastes just nice.

Can somebody tell me how to do it properly?? Please and thank you.

Anyways, need opinions..
What does these shapes look like to you?

IT IS CLEAN!!!

Finallyyyyyy!!!!! (fergie style) I have rearranged the stuff in the kitchen cabinet, cleaned the stove top and table. Wiped the kitchen cabinet, swept the floor, and mopped the floor. Washed the kitchen cloths and floor mats (ok, ok, the washing machine washed them, not me)

Ah, it feels so good to walk on freshly mopped floor. *bliss*

SATISFACTION

In a way, it's a good thing that I do all the cleaning
>_<
T_T
o_O
Because I get to clean it the way I want it, arrange things the way I want it.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA (that's supposed to be an evil laugh)

*exhales*

Well, had fried rice for dinner today, did not take picture cause it's nothing new.

Tomorrow! I am heading into civilization in the shape of seremban. Found out about a thread/craft shop from a friend of mine who's mom use to do crochet(or was it knitting) once upon a time.

Salary is in bebeh! We'll see if the shop has tatting thread. After that I am heading to jusco. Grocery shopping. Any kind of shopping helps. At least grocery shopping is shopping for food that I will eat right?

Enough of electrical fundamentals for five days. I am giving myself a break until sunday night. Will resume electrocution on sunday night as to prepare for class. I am becoming so much of a nerd this days. God help me.

Oh and thanks to classes, I am usually sleepy after twelve, up latest by nine on weekends. ON WEEKENDS!! Something is really wrong with me.

Tamagoyaki!!!

That's Japanese for fried eggs. I got the recipe from here.

Here's how it looks like.

It's a little brown. I think 1 tablespoon of soy sauce was a lil too much. Will reduce the portion next time. Other than a lil bit salty (because of the soy sauce), the sweetness is just right. Will make it fatter next time, maybe fold it more. This is only made from 1 egg. At first I thought one egg would not be enough, but it turned out just right. I'm not full, but not hungry, just enough.

But of course I did not just ate white rice with the tamagoyaki, got to have vege right?

Chinese cabbage and cauliflower fried in oyster sauce. The good thing about oyster sauce, when you put enough of it, you don't even have to put any salt at all.

Sorry if the pictures aren't up to standards, my camera's battery is low, was too lazy to charge it first(so sue me). Will charge tonight.

Today's class was.....well......I was totally zoning in and out half the time. I was looking at the instructor, I can hear him, but I wasn't actually listening. Everything was swimming around in my head. AC...DC....lead acid cell.....nickel cadmium cell.....relays...solenoid.....cables.....aircraft battery......charging......volts.......ok see you tomorrow.

T_T

Surprisingly Jin was feeling the same way too. Oh gosh, have to read up on it tonight. The instructor was going round and round and round. I've been not so good in electrical subjects since my diploma. Guess I have to work twice as hard for this module. "JOY" T_T

Me and Cooking.

I have been cooking more and more since I moved to Nilai. No, scratch that. I have STARTED cooking since I moved to Nilai. First few months here, I ate out everyday with my friends. Then eating out took it's toll, same thing again and again. So I started cooking, simple dish lar, not your maut giler-babeng-sedap type of food. Just to cater to my taste. Mostly chinese style. Anything fried with oyster sauce. Yee Mee! My greatest achievement!! Because to eat out, Yee Mee tak halal, unless you buy the one at the airport food court. SO overpriced, don't taste that good.

Aaaanyways, here's what I had for dinner.

I had spinach soup with century egg.

Fried fish fillet with black pepper sauce.

It tasted how it should taste. Which is good enough for me.

Ok, I practically have nothing else to blog about.

Supposed to be revising. Going through module 3: Electrical Fundamentals. No, I do not have an exam tomorrow. I have to practice revising everyday from now on.

This is crazy, until recently, I have never, NEVER studied in advance. Even when my mom calls me and asks what I'm doing, and I say I'm studying, she'll ask "got exam tomorrow?" My bf gives the same reaction.

Oh my, how my study patterns have changed. And no, the studies aren't tougher now. In fact studies here have been dramatically dumbed down compared to what I studied in diploma. It's the passing marks that's killing us!!!

Oh well. Let's get excited about current.....

Miso Soup Paste yang Ditanggung Halal

Does anyone know where I can get it? I found one in Isetan KLCC but there was a label on the chiller rack that says it might not be suitable for muslims. Here's my thoughts, they know it's not non-halal because miso is actually fermented soy paste(that's why it's not in the non-halal section) but then the label is in japanese, so they can't be 100% sure that it's halal. I know it's only soy, but with the label staring at me it sort of pushed me off track. So how? I know I'm not the most religious person you've ever met, but I'm sensitive about halal-ness.

I think I'll try jusco again, I've been looking at the wrong section I think.

Aaanyways, today is the last day of OJT at the wheel shop. It was great fun, muscles aching a little, but everyone there was friendly which made the work less tiring.

My previous class before going to the wheelshop ended two weeks ago. Did not feel like blogging back then. Exam was ok, just found out the results today, everyone passed, but I don't know my marks yet. It's back to class on Monday, at the Academy. Classes will be at the Academy from now on.

Last, last weekend, went to Pavillion. The only reason I wanted to go there was because I wanted to go to Echo Park, MNG, Zara, Topshop and Padini Concept Store. Was tired of Mid Valley, so chose Pavillion. Went to Echo Park to check out the Voyeurizm polo-t, turns out they only have male sizes now, no baby tee version. *sighs*

Bought 2 pairs of black pants for work. I have a feeling I have to keep buying black pants every year. For classes, morning shift and night shift. My current work pants is contaminated with jet oil and grease, so I'm saving it for night shifts only. I have 7 pairs of black pants now T_T

Haven't been cooking at all this week. Too lazy, I was doing overtime most of the week, so ate out.

Today was a total PMS day, was snapping at people left and right. Might've annoyed some people (I'm sure of it) SORRY!!

Oh well, will rest as much as I can this weekend.

Tata. (it means grandfather in tamil)

WOOSH!

OK, just a quick post. Have not been blogging much lately. I seem to have the mood to blog whenever I'm supposed to do something else, something much more important. Like, study, or clean the house, or clean my room.

When I'm just bumming around with my bum glued to the couch in front of the tv, I have no mood to blog. How annoying is that?

When you're in the middle of something, you go "Oh, I'm gonna put this in my blog". Then you reach home, thinking, "Oh I'll blog later". Then you go on with your daily life. And when you do sit down and start to blog, you don't remember what it was you wanted to blog about!!! I freaking hate it when that happens.

Even worst when you took pictures and stuff, thinking "I am sssoooo putting this in my blog!" Then you transfer all your pictures to your pc. Then......mood hilang.......

T_T

Hmmm, what was it that I wanted to blog about again?
