Holy Pop!

You know those people who talk like they are always right?

Who walk around telling people how good they are.

Acting all holier than thou.

How they talk to you like you are the biggest sinner on the face of the earth?

While there are plenty of other genuine pious people who's done more good than them yet get along with you just fine?

I've figured out what's wrong with them.

They prooooooobably had one too many of these

Oh wait, that picture doesn't do justice.

Ok, this one should do it.

Instant Holiness anyone?

My Take on iPod Touch 8GB 2nd Generation.

The iPod comes in a small plastic box. Mounted on a plastic platform-layer-like thing, giving the box 2 layers. Underneath the iPod are the earphones, USB cable, cloth, Apple stickers and a handbook.

On the screen is a sticker with a mock homepage to protect the screen.

Side view of the iPod. (forgot to take a view of the other side where the volume controls are)

These are the accessories that came with the casing that I bought. A squigee, 2 screen protectors, cloth, universal dock adapter, video stand and a connector protector.

Front view

Back View. The first layer is latex (I think, not silicon, not sure), the top piece that looks like it's skeleton is hard plastic.

The brand is RebelTouch, retails at RM119 at Machines.

Personally I think it's an overprice piece of rubber and plastic. I wouldn't have bought if there were more choices to choose from. In fact I wouldn't have bought an iPod at all. To me it's nothing to shout about.

The silicon skin was going for RM106 and it doesn't come with a screen protector. Talk about an expensive piece of chemically processed sand!

Oh well, at least I didn't spend an arm and a leg for the iPod.

Terry Fox Run 2008

Ever taken part in the Terry Fox Run before? No? Well let me enlighten you on how the run went. This event is a charity event. There is no registration fee, but sales from the shirt goes directly to CARIF for cancer research. I shall not bore you with the details but if you're interested to know the story of how this run started in the first place, please click here.

Let me guide you in getting through the run (with pictures) If you are thinking you are not built to go for a run, bullshit lar, you don't even have to run ok. Just walk. In fact you can cycle and rollerblade too. It's really up to you. So here goes.

First thing to do when you reach Lake Gardens is look for the booth selling the shirts and pick your size.

Get your shirts from the people manning the counter. And handover you cash!

Then wait for flag off lar. In the mean time there are booths selling food. Some are giving away bottled water and bananas for free.

Gather round the stage and wait for the flag-off.

This year we had a celebrity to help flag-off the run. Ida Nerina- who did not want to tell us who won TARA.

There's the starting point.

Ready?

Off we go!! Look at the crowd.

Along the way, you'll find people like him. Some will be shouting encouragements at you. Some just look bored.

Towards the end, you'll find this sign. This year, I followed the arrow pointing to the right.

This is the view that greeted us right after getting on the new route.

Look at the lack of crowd.

Keep going, you'll finish eventually.

HOORAY!!

Every year there are a bunch of people who like to make a statement.

This year, we saw these people.

Who came in sarongs.

So what's your statement?

Mou Tak Ding

My laptop has been kept away in my laptop bag since last sunday. o_O I know, that means I haven't been online for a week!!! Like OMG. But I did go online at work to check my mails.

Finished my exam for electronics fundamental mentalities. Back to working with the red and white babies. It's been ssssoooo long since I last worked with the red and whites. Handskills and technical knowledge all rusty now.

No sweat, will be right on track in no time.

Pictures all the way to the end of this post.

September 16 2008

Something big was supposed to happen today. Something historical was supposed to happen today. Everyone was waiting for something to happen today. But did anything happen? I don't know, I'm not sure. For now, everything's still the same.

Is it too good to be true? Or has it yet to come true? Everyone's sick and tired of the childish games played by adults in the eye of the public. Everyone's ready for a change. Whether the change will be a good one or a bad one, we have yet to find out, because it has yet to happen.

Let all the finger pointing stop. Let all the fights end. Let us all go back to our similarities, and forget about our differences.

Tolerate each other. Why should other groups of people show toleration to one group of people when that group of people won't give the same toleration back? Why so selfish? You are not the only ones living in this world.

Here's to hoping for a change. Hoping that there's a chance, still a glimmer of light for that change to happen.

Let's all change together.

Hey, if you're going to dream, might as well dream big.

HERE'S TO RM1.10 PER LITRE OF PETROL!

That's only my dream ar, don't go spreading the word that the petrol price is going down pulak.

Flying Away to A Foreign Land

Last Thursday, I sent off my ex-classmate from univ to klia, he was flying to UK to further his studies. It's a pretty big thing going overseas to study huh? While I was thinking about what to write here, I remember the day I met him and the first thing I ever said to him. "Oi! Ape pandang-pandang?!" Seriously. That was the first thing I ever said to him. He was staring at me from across the street. The best thing was, he didn't look away when I returned the stare. In fact he didn't even realise I was staring back at him.

Then my friend told me he felt bad. So on another day, I went over and ask him why he was staring at me. He said I looked a lot like someone he knows, and he said sorry. Ahaks. We laughed it off and were friends ever since. To think our friendship started off like that. Funny how things turn out.

And now, he's in UK, wow. How time flies.

Sometimes I envy those who go overseas and all. But when I think about it, it's no big deal. I have a friend who says, it's no different than studying locally, it's the same. Except that she felt bad because it's costing her parents so much money when she can get the same thing locally.

Now, if I was offered full scholarship that comes with funny allowances that covers all the crap you've never thought about, then yes I would go. But I won't put myself in debt paying off loans for the next few decades to go somewhere. One loan is enough.

I'll reserve my trips there for vacations thank you very much.

In the mean time, I'll be breathing local air for years to come.

I Am Totally Slacking

Lame joke recall

A: What's the most confusing fruit in the world?
B: I dunno, what?
A: Strawberry.
B: How come?
A: I dunno, confusing right?
B: T_T

.................................................................................................................................................................

I have been slacking big time in class and studies. Totally zoning in and out during class. I try to revise, but the procrastinator in me is too strong!!!

I guess having did well in the previous module went to my head without me realizing it. Dayum. When the instructor shoots a question at me, I use to be able to shoot back the answer, but nowadays, I'm out of ammo. ssshhhiiiiiaaaaaaattttttt.

I need to shape up!!! Argh!!!

I have to eat, breath, puasa, sleep electronic!

I love electronics.

Say it with me

I LOVE ELECTRONICS!

Bitch Fest

I wasn't even going to blog today. But then (long dramatic pause) as I woke up from what was supposed to be a short nap, this piece of information jumped out at me from my laptop screen practically doing the happy dance (where you look like you're stirring a cauldron full of evil potion with a sinister smirk on your face) and the conga line dance at the same. I found it too big an opportunity, too juicy, too bitch-able for me to NOT blog about it.

See, the beauty of blogging is that, when you're pissed, you can bitch and rant all about it in your blog. Without letting the-people-you're-bitching-about know about it, but letting the rest of the world in cyberspace know it. Then you secretly hope that the-people-you're-bitching-about WILL somehow come across your blog, read it, feel belittled by what you wrote and go crying to their mommies. After that, just as an after thought, you secretly, secretly (nope, not a mistake, I meant to type it twice) hope that they DON'T come across your blog, because then it won't be fun anymore. You no longer have a sinister secret place to bitch. Ahaks.

So, here's the ice cream on this brownie. Apparently, some unfortunate souls who have not been blessed with the ability of note taking in class, have been stealing my notes while I'm not around, and in under 3 minutes, managed to flip-flip-flip and find the piece of info that they needed, copy it, then put my notes back where they found it. All that under 3 minutes.

WHAT AM I? A TOUCH N GO TAMBAH NILAI LANE??!!!

Now, there's two sides to EVERYTHING. Let's first look at the bright side.
1. They think of me highly enough to snitch notes from me. My notes must be dayum bloody good then.
2. They've graduated to copying post-examinations instead of copying during examinations. Kudos! Give yourselves a big painful whack, I mean, a pat on your back.

Here's the other side (formerly known as the dark side, but has been changed to keep it light and positive injected with a few milliliters of sarcasm)
1. They are so very-the-incompetent that they can't come up with their own notes.
2. Even with half the class in their 'friends-but-I-still-bitch-about-you-behind-your-backs' list, not one of them have better notes than theirs.
3. So they had to resort to stealing from the OTHER side.
4. They somehow have the skills to come up with the divine plan of snitching notes. Wow,they never cease to amaze me.
5. When their previous pool of notes became inaccessible due to the right plan but bad execution on their part - also known as an error - they looked for a new pool to dip their toes in.

And that is how they ended up having the honor of being condemned in my blog (look!look! NOW you can go tell your friends I'm condemning them okay?)

After all the blood, sweat and tears I poured into my notes. (ok, not really. Just kinetic energy and grey matter. That's besides the point.) They think they can just waltz over to my notes and copy it? You watch out man.

You know what? The biggest marvel of their plan is, I hardly even leave the class for a long period of time. Since it's the fasting month, I only go out for toilet breaks. I only left the class longer than 5 to 15 minutes ONCE last friday. Looks like the 25 minutes turn around time is a piece of cake to them.

I have come up with a plan to catch them off guard while they are reloading their touch n go at my table. But then, decided that it'll be a huge waste of my energy, I've already wasted Giga Joules on this post. So let them be.

Biarlah mereka yang solat 5 kali sehari mencuri ilmu tanpa kebenaran daripada tuannya pada bulan yang mulia ini. Aku halalkan segala apa yang TELAH diambil.

But don't expect to find my notes available at your disposal anymore.

Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for spending your precious time reading my long rant.

P.S: If you are looking for the post on the Bento Partay, it's below this one.

Stress Free Weekend of Mine

Finally! There was sun and heat today!! It's been raining for the past few days, so much that my laundry won't dry. But thank God it did not rain today!! My clothes are finally dry. Well, now I actually have to get around to go fold it up. Dayum lazy.

Yesterday and today was pretty good. Yesterday was full of plans (and rain all d way from nilai-seremban to sunway and back to nilai sheesh). First thing of the day was my dentist appointment. Well, nothing exciting there (just mention it cause that's how my day started)

After that, I headed down to Damansara for a Bento Partay! eheheheh. If you don't know what a bento is, click here and here (and, not or, means click both >_<) The party was organized by my mom and Pat. I reached the party a lil late. They were already halfway through the how-to-bento talk. The highlights of the day were, each person gets a goodie bag, inclusive of a bento box amongst other things (check out the pix), a bento competition was held, we had to use the food for lunch and arrange it in our new bento box, the most creative arrangement wins a prize. I think the best part of all for the bento enthusiasts was that the 100 Yen store guy was there with a huge supply of bento gear! There were bento boxes of various colors and designs, bento straps, cutlery sets, and loads of other stuffs all for RM4.90 per piece. There were also other gears that Pat outsourced from somewhere else. Did not get any pictures of those though.(mom, I think you bought loads, take a picture of those)

Pikchah!!!

Some of the lunch buffet spread. I was late so couldn't snap much before they were devoured.

There's my Aunt Hannah posing with her bento for sis's camera.

Sis's bento. See the cute mufiin? Two lil piggies on it!
Now those piggies are halal ones wakakakak!

This is mine

Close up of the muffin I managed to grab.

Contents of the goodie bag!

Had fun at the party, for more pics go to Molly's blog!

After the party, I went straight to Sunway to meet up with Tina, she couldn't stay long cause she had to go somewhere. Brenda and Diana arrived later, just in time for a few pics with Tina before she took off. Then the three of us literally spent 2 hours wandering around and around the mall figuring out what to eat. Finally settled for Delifrance by running Diana's finger up and down the directory and stopping randomly down the list (WE WERE THAT BORED AND LOST OK) Giler kesian, like nothing better to do only T_T

Then today, was a very unproductive relaxing day thank you very much.

This is what I made while I was feeling creative today.

Wanna come up with a name for it? It's tamagoyaki rolled in a whole meal bread.
