...About Rocking Your Vote

Read about it on my mom's blog. So decided to finally do it since I'm gonna be passing by the area on Saturday.

It was kinda hard to find the counter. There were no posters elsewhere. Actually went shopping and makan before finally finding the information counter to ask where this thingy is held.

Finally found it. Somewhere in a corner of the old wing.

Someone in the midst of registering.

This nice guy at the counter filled up my form for me.

So there! I'm registered!

Go Rock Your Vote!

The counter will still be there today.
One Utama Old Wing, in front of Dave's Deli.
10.30am til 10.30pm.

...About Random Snapshots in Bandung

Exactly what the title says.

There are lots of these pushcarts around Bandung selling all kinds of snacks. This one is where we bought out first snack.

The man manning the pushcart.

Sights on the way out from the guest house to the main-road

Jalan Dago on a Friday

Pushcarts outside one of the many factory outlets.

Rumah Mode compound.

Sights along Jalan Setiabudhi

Cute right?

Inside the angkut-angkut.

Somewhere along the way back to the guesthouse.

Jalan Dago on Sunday, Car Free Day.

Street Gay Clowns!

All in all, it was a great trip, we experienced Bandung in a different way, traveled around in the angkut-angkut, bus and beca. Did not touch the BlueBird taxi at all!

Worth the visit. Value for money.

...About: Gastronomic Adventure in Bandung

This is a post of pictures. Of food we had (though some missed because we were half way done eating when we realized we did not snap a picture >_<)

Snack of fried fish dumpling, deep fried tofu with fish stuffing in peanut sauce. It's called Batagor I think.

White rice, potato, cabbage, ikan tongkol and sambal. Had this at a small stall. The sambal damn powerful I tell you!

Tea time at Amanda's Brownie along Jalan Dago. Pisang Caramel(not so good) Tapai Danish (tastes weird) Chocolate pancake with custard filling (delish!)

Nasi Padang for dinner, at Simpang Raya along Jalan Dago too I think. It's my favorite meal of the trip.

Teh tarik and milo ice, for breakfast second day. At a cafe in the Rumah Mode compund at Jalan Setiabudhi.

Strawberry Banana Pancake. Yums.

Grilled Beef Bacon Sandwich.

Dinner at Dago Tea House, Wisma Kebudayaan. My pot of Chrysanthemum Tea.

Pecel Lele. Basically deep fried catfish with sambal and vege on the side. Sorry picture a bit blur.

Nasi Bogana

Nasi Timbel

Sate Kambing

Sup Bontot (oxtail soup)

Snack on the last day before lunch.

Lunch at Dago Tea House. Nasi Soto.

Gado-gado.

Food is cheap over there. Heck, everything is cheap.

That's all the food folks. Will update on scenery next.

Now go wipe that drool of your chin.

...About The Novelty Wearing Off

Being a girl, working among guys, sometimes being the only girl around, can give me loads of headache. I don't know, but seems like, lots of guys like to make jokes, in a way almost as if they were trying to impress me.

Like seriously, if the jokes are funny, of course I'll laugh at it. But if you are gonna repeat the same bloody joke every single time we meet, I'll just give you my "Dude, are you serious?" look. Come on, you ain't no Russel Peters yo.

Then there's the guys who starts one joke, and squeeze out every single drop of humour juice from that joke, til there's nothing left. And I ain't laughing no more. It's like, ok, for example, someone starts a "your momma's so fat" joke, after the 6th or 7th joke, it's not funny anymore, cos chances are, things got lame by then. Yeah, like that.

Then there's guys who talks punchline. Like, every single sentence that comes out of his mouth is a joke, or what's supposed to be a joke, in his head. And I get sick of trying to laugh about it, I just walk off. Some of these guys ain't even funny to begin with.

Then there's the dirty jokes guys. People, jokes don't have to be dirty.

Neither does it have to be uber stupid.

Or maybe, my sense of humour is just on a different wavelength. Thank God there is one guy whose jokes I can roll with. Somehow other people don't get his jokes, but I do.

You just gotta know some vocab and language man. Y'all been exposed to too much stupid jokes and raja lawak.

...About Glee

I've finished watching the first 13 episodes, and I love it long time!! It's such a great show! So relate-able.  It's NOTHING like High School Musical. In fact, high school and music is where the similarities starts, and ends.

The stories are so real. Characters are real. Eventhough some characters are weird as hell, but we have to admit that people like that do exist. That's what I like the most about Glee, it's so real. Characters of all shapes, size and color.

The lead girl, Rachel, is not the stereotype skinny girl. She has a tummy! I think she and I have the same body type. Plus I love her clothes on the show. Cute. Except for the pantsuit and the cat suit >_<

Whenever I feel stressed out, I just watch an episode. Seriously, it cheers me up! I love episode 4. Can't wait for the rest of the season.

Gleeks Unite!!

And no, as much as this SOUNDS like a paid post, it ain't.

...About Cakes

Recently celebrated a friend's birthday. He announced that this is the second time in his life that he's cutting a birthday cake.

I was quite shocked. Really. He comes from a close knit family. Where festivities means family getting together.

I come from the total opposite. Yet, I have had a birthday cake almost every single year. And it meant nothing to me, I hated it. Worst of all when I had to go and buy it myself. Not with my own money lar, but I had to go into the cake shop and buy the cake.

So I grew up hating celebrating my own birthday, and still do. I would go all out to plan something for a friend. But when it comes to my own, I'd rather stay home and watch my episodes of Glee on my pc.

See how material things mean almost nothing? Here's a girl who's had a birthday cake almost every year of her childhood, yet she goes home as rarely as she possibly can.

Then there's a boy who loves his family to bits, but birthday cakes are a rarity. And it doesn't matter.

Ironic.
